Little Mermaid

Today we are painting a mermaid featuring a song from the Little Mermaid! This lesson is a great chance to practice drawing sea creatures and use the wet on wet technique to make it look underwater 🧜

1. Print it out

Choose a paper size that is slightly smaller than your watercolor paper.

2. Shade the back

Flip your traceable over and use a pencil to shade the back. When you hold your paper up to the light, you will be able to see the traceable on the other side.

Double check the back is fully shaded

3. Transfer to watercolor paper

Place your traceable on your watercolor paper with the scribbled side down. Firmly trace over the lines. When you remove the traceable, you will see a faint sketch has transferred over to your watercolor paper. This gives your learner a guide to draw over during class!
